Breast Gel Pad
When your milk finally arrives, it can be quite a shock at just how much there is!
I loved the gel pads as they were so soothing and comforting when I was really sore from the cluster feeding at the beginning.
PERFECT FOR: ENGORGEMENT PAIN, FULL UNCOMFORTABLE BREASTS, BLOCKED DUCTS, MASTITIS, EXPRESSING, SLOW LET DOWN
Warm therapy is powerful to relieve the discomfort of breast engorgement (when your breasts feel hard and full) and blocked ducts (small areas of firm lumps where milk has pooled in milk ducts), and also to stimulate breastmilk flow before you feed or aiding milk flow during a pumping session.
Give the gel pad a wash in warm soapy water before first use. Heat the pad by immersing in hot water for 10 minutes. DO NOT MICROWAVE. Always check temperature before applying to your skin and use a cloth around the pack if you need it.
Engorgement or uncomfortable fullness:
Place the pack in your bra whenever you need pain or fullness relief and remember to take it off after 10-15 minutes, reapply as you need it.
If you want to get a bumper pump session, place the pack around your breast while the pump is working.
Blocked duct or mastitis:
Use the heat pack before you feed your baby to stimulate flow, and apply it specifically to the area of blockage.
Slow let down:
Use the heat pack for 10 minutes before you feed; using the manual pump simultaneously to stimulate a let down will also help. Repeat on the opposite side while baby is feeding on the first side.
To use cool, keep it in the fridge for freezer for 30 minutes.
